Sand & Sushi, the luxury wallpaper brand, is very much a family affair. Run by sisters Danika and Kimberley, who share a lifelong passion for pattern, colour and the traditional arts, this provides the basis for everything they create.
Danika’s innovative self-taught approach ignited the spark leading
to the creation of Sand & Sushi. The creativity which slowly began to emerge over the kitchen table involved experimenting with photography, screen print and digital art, leading Danika to rediscover her love for pattern. Sand & Sushi was then brought effortlessly into realisation by the hand of her sister Kimberley, a film industry concept artist and illustrator who’s stunning work has graced movies such as Star Wars - The Force Awakens and Wonder Woman.
Their new venture offers a fresh look at wallpapers by combining the expertise inspired by the Victorian and East Asian traditions with a brave and modern take on home decor.
