Tyger Tyger was inspired by William Blake's poem ‘The Tyger’. Not the most obvious poem for a child’s bedroom, however, it is the wonder Blake has for the world and the miracle of nature that we want children to share, we want them to be able to live in a world full of tigers. The illustration of the tiger is innocent making it seem simplistic and attractive to children, however, the meaning is complex and will provoke debate as they grow.
